A little Background
A few years ago I picked up a pre-built Revel model of the Gemini capsule on EBay, well the pictures looked good and I thought I would have it as a display model, my mistake. When it arrived it looked like it had been assembled and painted by a 5 year old, so it has sat on the garage shelf just waiting for me to find a tube that would fit it and make it into a flyable rocket. About a year ago I came close with a mailing tube that came to my work but since it was not a perfect fit, well that tube went into the junk pile in the garage too.
I was recently getting rid of junk in the garage and came across all this stuff and decided that I would make the two fit or ruin it trying, since I was about to throw it away anyway. With a little imagination and work I made it fit. I decided to look for other scrap (salvage) stuff that I could make the rest of the rocket from and would name it Salvage II in reference to the late 70's TV series with Andy Griffith, Salvage 1.
